In the heating industry we developed a brazing technology for large components such as towel warmer radiators, drastically reducing the costs of brazing of tubular radiators, supplied the major groups worldwide, manufactured over 60 production lines in the last years and developed higher-performance equipment.

Another heating sector where we are present is the brazing of copper and stainless-steel heat exchangers for wall heating boilers and instant water warmers, where we supplied the major producers with our furnaces.

The automotive industry was, and certainly still is, a vanguard in the innovation of heat treatment by stimulating the research, especially in the evolution in the use of metals as a result of new necessities.

Innovation also led to the construction of equipment whose use drastically dropped the costs of parts and improved their quality and reliability.

We supply our equipment to companies that manufacture mild steel and stainless-steel parts mounted on diesel and gasoline engines. Our furnaces braze in controlled atmosphere injection distributors, tubes for fuel, gasoline or diesel adduction, heat exchangers for EGR valves for fume recirculation and all tubular parts mounted on vehicles. Our biggest customers are mainly multinationals present all over the world which produce parts for cars, trucks, earth-moving and agricultural machinery.

Scame exports all over the world and supplied over 500 pieces of equipment in several European, far East, south-east Asia and USA facilities in 43 Countries.

In the automotive industry we have also supplied furnaces for quenching, carburizing, carbonitriding with salt and oil for parts of stamped springs and special nuts and bolts for brakes or bodywork, both in Italy and abroad.

SCAME Forni Industriali specializes in manufacturing furnaces for the bright annealing and solution annealing of stainless-steel tubes, both welded or extruded, and fittings in controlled atmosphere of hydrogen and nitrogen. The types of stainless-steel tubes and fittings subjected to bright annealing are various and include rod tubes up to 76mm diameter and even the smallest fittings for the medical industry.

These conveyor belt furnaces can operate with 100% hydrogen in the heating zone ensuring a totally safe work environment and allowing a constant monitoring of the dew-point, which results in costs and timing reduction. These advantages are the result of a careful research in the industry and aimed at the achievement of the highest technological reliability.

The presence of SCAME is significant also in the bolt and fastener industry with innovative equipment that can carry out heat treatments such as austempering or quenching and tempering, carburizing and carbonitriding.

In the past years, 50 pieces of equipment have been supplied for these specific heat treatments, essential to obtain the mechanical and functional features of the final product and ideal for different fasteners like: screws, bolts, threaded inserts, rivets and molded springs.

A historic presence in the production of silver plates, bands and semi-finished industry makes us the company that turned it into an industrial sector, ranging from the annealing of big bands for thin plates to the annealing of silver for silverware before the final molding.

In the gold industry, we supply equipment for annealing of golden alloy bands up to brazing of golden and silver chains for all the major chain producers.

Sintering is now used in various sectors, still remaining a little known technology and therefore little “exploited” in its great potential. In this field we can count a highly qualified presence of supply of machineries used in the sintering of components for cars and not, with particular success in the field of brakes and clutches not least the sintering of brakes for European high-speed trains.

We have also developed plants for the sintering of powders deposited on substrate for the realization of clutches also for machinery.

Our company also manufactures special equipment upon customer request, like for example furnaces for the heating of vitrification of tanks, heating of welding electrodes and annealing of gas containment bottles.

We also have an active cooperation with several companies that produce superconductors, we supply them with equipment for the final annealing of superconductors in the medical industry (coils for MRI devices) or for equipment for the production of nuclear energy of for cyclotrons for magnetic acceleration.

We also build plants in specific sectors such as annealing valve bodies for the oil extraction industry, sintering graphite powders, and quenching and carburizing large shafts for marine engines. We have supplied various specialized companies in these sectors.

Additionally, we are active in the brakes and clutches sector, providing static or continuous systems to leading companies worldwide.

Another application we specialize in is the solubilization and aging of aluminum in its various forms.

An area that has seen significant growth in recent years is the annealing of stainless steel tubes, both for rods up to 30 meters long and for tube sections used in hydroforming, supplied to major companies in the industry worldwide.
